Charlie Griffin is a professional footballer, currently playing for Stevenage Borough in the Blue Square Premier, the top flight of non-league football in England. Griffin signed for Stevenage in May 2009, and has previously played for a number of different clubs throughout his career in football. Griffin has achieved fantastic success in non-league football, and is a well known and incredibly impressive striker.

Griffin actually began his footballing life in the Bristol Rovers youth system, Chippenham Town was the team with which he played his first game of competitive football however, and he was there spotted by Swindon Town. Swindon paid ten thousand pounds for Griffin in 1999, Griffin failed to really hit it off with the club though and later joined Woking after a successful loan spell with the club.

A second spell with Chippenham was to follow for Charlie Griffin after a reasonably successful stay with Woking, and he'd here enjoy some more quality football before again deciding to move on.

Charlie Griffin spent the 2004/05 season with Forest Green Rovers, and a fantastic season with the club would see him return to the Football League after being spotted by Wycombe. Griffin excelled with Forest Green in the one season that he spent with the club, and it was really no surprise that he earned a move back to the Football League.

A poor return of goals for Wycombe again saw Charlie Griffin move on though, and this time he was to join Newport County in the Blue Square South. Back in non-league football, Charlie Griffin would again be a huge success, playing well for the club in the time that he spent there. Griffin was much loved by the Newport County fans, and was offered a new contract to remain with the club for the 2008/09 season. Hungry to move up the league structure again however, Griffin decided to move into the Blue Square Premier with Salisbury City, and was the club's top scorer for the 2008/09 season with 21 goals in 45 league appearances. Not just Salisbury's top scorer, Griffin was actually one of the top scorers for the season in the entire league, and this therefore earned him a move to the massively successful Stevenage Borough in May 2009.

Charlie Griffin has throughout his career always shown great fire in front of goal, and should be one of the top Blue Square Premier scorers again in the 2009/10 season. He's a proven player in non-league football, and has achieved fantastic success with the majority of the non-league sides that he has been with. Griffin has a definite talent for scoring quality goals, and as Stevenage Borough looks to achieve promotion in the 2009/10 season; Charlie Griffin will no doubt play a key role for the club, and will be looking to get on the score sheet as many times as possible throughout the season.
