Pennsylvania DOT Regulations for Selling Cars

Selling or buying a car in Pennsylvania requires more than just a check and a handshake. It’s a process of forms and signatures that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) requires for subsequent titling and registration purposes.

One overlooked signature could cause you a bureaucratic migraine that takes weeks to cure. Making the effort to assure all papers and signatures are in order is time well spent.

If You’re Selling a Car in PA

  • Print and sign your name in the presence of a notary on the back of the title (in Section A); the buyer must do the same.
  • Record the vehicle’s odometer reading.
  • Be sure you remove your license plates from the vehicle.

If You’re Buying a Car in PA

  • Before you clinch the deal, arrange to have car insurance.
  • Make sure the seller completes Section A on the back of title.

Tesla to drop price of Model 3 in China to access electric vehicle subsidies

Elon Musk says Tesla will drop the price of the Standard Range Model 3 in China from Friday so that it will be eligible for China’s “new energy vehicle” subsidies.

Speaking at the company’s earnings call for the first quarter of 2020 on Thursday (Australian time), Musk said he was excited to announce the price drop.

China’s electric car market has suffered a blow over the last three quarters after the Asian economic leader dropped subsidies for electric vehicles.

Recent reports that China’s government was considering extending subsidies as a response to boost the economy in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis left some wondering if non-domestic auto makers, including Tesla, would be left out in the cold.

The 2 year extension ultimately included only vehicles costing RMB300,000 ($A64,85) or less. Currently, the base price for the Standard Range (SR) Model 3 made at Tesla’s Shanghai factory is RMB323,800 ($A69,995

A 37-year-old Byron man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after his vehicle went airborne during a single vehicle crash on Olmsted County Road 3 Northwest in Kalmar Township. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash just before 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 5500 block of County Road 3 Northwest. Capt. Scott Behrns said the pickup was northbound when it drifted into the southbound lanes, went into the west ditch, struck a field drive and went airborne before coming to a rest on its wheels. The driver, Samuel Carlson, was the only person in the vehicle. Deputies noticed signs of impairment when he was taken out of the truck. Carlson was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys for suspected minor injuries. Deputies reportedly found 4.28 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle. The incident is still under investigation.

TALMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies are investigating after a 76-year-old man from Marne crashed and died while trying to corral an escaped horse.

Authorities responded to the scene on Buchanan St. near Linden Dr. NW at around 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

The victim was trying to follow the horse in a side-by-side off-road vehicle (ORV) when he somehow lost control, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Review: Kuat Pivot V2 Bicycle Hitch Rack swing away adapter is the best yet

There are products out there that while certainly more of a luxury item, once you use them, you feel as if they are an absolute necessity. The Kuat Pivot v2 is one of those products – and it’s the first time I would say that about any swing away bike rack adapter.

Review: Kuat Pivot V2 Bicycle Hitch Rack swing away adapter is the best yet
The Pivot v2 comes mostly assembled, just a few bolts are required to install the locking clasp.

The Kuat Pivot v2 is certainly not the first swing away adapter – it’s right there in the name. But the brand seems to have learned exactly how they should improve on the original to create the best adapter that I’ve had the chance to use.

For those new to the world of swing away hitch adapters, they’re sole purpose is to allow you to swing away a fully loaded rack from the vehicle, to better access your trunk, hatch, or
